City Council approved a measure Wednesday night to join a group of 59 other cities throughout Ohio to construct a solar array.
And it won’t cost the city a penny to join.
“Solar energy is something that I think we really need to fully embrace, like all cities should,” said Ignazio Messina, the city’s communications director. “This is a cost-saving issue for us. It also helps us reduce our carbon footprint.”
