Although this fire did not necessarily impact anyone in the state of Ohio, the point to take home is that sprinkler systems usually slow or stop the progression of a fire until firefighters arrive on the scene. In this case, the sprinkler head in the apartment kitchen put the fire out completely without burning the entire apartment complex down. –John Larkin
