This news release was from April of this year, but it acts as proof that sprinkler systems are an asset that you should consider installing whether  your home or business is yet to be built or is already in place. Although fire sprinklers are not considered as life-safety systems by definition of fire code, they can and have saved many lives many times. Honest (fire) Engine!

fire collage (image)Firefighters arrived to the 100 block of North Livingston Street at 6:15 p.m. Crews made their way to the fourth floor of an apartment building where they encountered water in the hallway.

According to an incident report, firefighters found that the building’s fire sprinkler system had activated and extinguished the fire. Officials said the water had also made its way to the apartments below.
