The body of the elderly man was located in the same area, officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
“Having a quality, well managed Automatic Fire Sprinkler system in a building, whether it’s a nursing facility or a vacant commercial building, is very important. According to the National Fire Protection Association (#NFPA), the civilian fire death rate of 0.8 per 1,000 reported fires was 87% lower where #Fire #sprinklers were used,” says John Larkin, Senior Partner with ESC of Greater Ohio.
