Stephen Johnston  placed  his own life in danger to rescue that of a young boy in a house fire.

Woman rescued from flames by passerby in west Columbus | #ESC_LLC#fire#rescue#hero | Before firefighters arrived, Antwan Cotton said he was driving by when he smelled smoke. He stopped and banged on doors to find anyone that needs helped. In the apartment above where firefighters said the flames began, Karen Watts said she opened her front door to escape, but saw thick smoke and flames. Sheriff’s deputy, medics help save a life after runner collapses | #ESC_LLC#deputy#marathon#runner#hero | COLUMBUS, Ohio – A runner at the Columbus Marathon was hospitalized Sunday after collapsing near Broad Street and High Street. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy Tanya White saw the runner collapse near her and rushed to help.

Ohio Historical Marker to be placed at site of fire that took a Toledo firefighter’s life | #ESC_LLC#Toledo#shrine#firefighter |TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department along with ProMedica will honor a Toledo firefighter on Friday who lost his life in the line of duty.
An Ohio Historical Marker will be placed in front of the ProMedica Headquarters, the site of the King-Quale Grain Elevator fire that took the life of Captain James Fraser more than 100 years ago.
Captain Fraser was part of the crew fighting the fire back on January 3, 1894. A fire broke out at the grain elevator, and wind from the Maumee River drove the flames toward the center of Toledo’s business district. http://ow.ly/9EG730fQZ5w
