John Larkin, ESC Senior Partner, Quoted in Main Stream Security Publication | #ESC_LLC #JohnLarkin #AccessControl #SME | John Larkin was recently quoted in a professional security magazine commonly read by his peers. Quoted in a story entitled, The New Normal: Touch-Free Access Control, John had this to say (https://wp.me/p97JNV-1n3):
“When we install access, we almost always use contactless credentials,” says John Larkin, senior partner with Electronic Systems Consultants of Columbus, Ohio. “We do this because of convenience combined with greater security. On the one hand, our clients do not have to directly interface with the structure in any manner; and on the other, wireless access is usually more secure, because there are fewer attack points to consider. Today, however, the incentive is health-related.”
Contactless, or touch-free credentials, are essential for businesses that seek to follow rules set into place by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as it applies to spread prevention of COVID-19 in the workplace and public spaces.
Larkin is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) that regularly appears in print. He also gives talks to local Ohio groups. If you have an organization and you’d John Larkin to speak to your members, call us at 614-754-1393, send an email to ESC@tpromo.com, or use the handy contact form below:
