Columbus restaurants kick off Black Restaurant Week

Restaurant business (Image)#Columbus restaurants kick off Black #Restaurant Week | #ESC_LLC #BlackRestaurantWeek | A dozen or so Black-owned restaurants in Columbus are participating in Black Restaurant Week, a yearly occasion intended to shine a light on a segment of the hospitality industry that all too often flies under the radar (dispatch).

The annual celebration began on Friday and runs through Sunday. Area restaurants will offer promotions and discounts to mark the occasion.

Juana Williams, who is Black, owns J’s Sweet Treats and Wedding Cakes, which has locations in Polaris and on the South Side near Merion Village. The entrepreneur said she always tries to support other Black-owned businesses through her patronage. (read more)
